Established in 1837, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office stands as the premier law enforcement agency in Fort Bend County, Texas, renowned for its diversity. With a workforce exceeding 800 individuals, comprising 565 sworn peace officers and 25 reserve deputies, the FBCSO remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding and serving the nearly 900,000 residents of Fort Bend County. Spanning 885 square miles, Fort Bend encompasses 21 unincorporated communities and ranks among the nation's top 10 fastest-growing counties. Additionally, the county boasts 16 incorporated municipalities, including prominent areas such as Sugar Land, Katy, Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, and Stafford.
